CCM Centre is commited to serve the community at large. The historic partnership with Canadian Red Cross will enhance the participation among the Chinese Canadian community in natural disaster relief work, first aid training and safety education. Together, we will build a stronger caring community.
Safety Secure Living Fair is a free annual event, providing a one-stop informational and educational service to the community by promoting wellness, increasing awareness of emergency preparedness, and improving quality of life through safe and secure living knowledge. Every year, experienced specialists and professionals will be invited to provide various informative talks and booths to promote safe and secure living.
Canadian Red Cross Community Access to First Aid Workshop: “The SmartStart: Community Access to First Aid program conducts vital life-saving skills (Basic First Aid), provides information regarding injury prevention and knowledge on emergency medical service access. The program delivers 3-hour workshop which are conducted by qualified Red Cross First Aid Instructor at no cost.”

Canadian Red Cross Multilingual Personal Emergency Preparedness Program: “The SmartStart: Multilingual Personal Emergency Preparedness program conducts personal emergency preparedness workshops to newcomers and vulnerable populations. The emphasis is on home preparedness, response to emergency, emergency evacuation plans and procedures, and the preparation of survival supply kits. Participants may then share their newly acquired knowledge with families and communities so that they are collectively prepared to face any emergency. The 2-hour workshop is available at no cost.”
